Konkan Gyanpeeth Rahul Dharkar College of Pharmacy And Research Institute, Karjat had organised National Seminar on Innovative Careers & Emerging Trends in Pharma Industry on 15th FEB 2014 at 8.30am.
The Seminar was inaugurated at the hands of Mr. Mr Pradeep Shringarpure Secretary & CEO, Konkan Gyanpeeth Trust, Mr. Zulkar Nain Dhabiya, treasurer, Mr. Vijay Mande, Local Managing Committee Member of K.G.R.D.C.P & R.I, Karjat. About 200 delegates had participated. This Seminar was organized in order to make participants aware about various opportunities in the field of pharmacy and educate them on various emerging & innovative trends in pharmaceutical sciences to face the challenges in competitive global world. The program was compered by Mrs. Priyanka Kalamkar and the event was convened by Mr. Pravin Naik.
Dr. M.K. Kale, Principal elaborated on the theme and said Pharmacist being inseparable component of health care system, should be oriented with a commitment towards contributing to the patient health care. Dr. Anand Shedge, Director, MET Institute of Medical Sciences, Mumbai delivered keynote address about National Seminar on Innovative Careers & Emerging Trends in Pharma Industry for pharmacy graduates. He enlightened delegates about opportunities in India and abroad.
Dr. M. S. Gadge, Principal, Sterling Institute of Pharmacy, Navi Mumbai delivered talk on emerging trends in Pharma industry and urged the students to be prepared accordingly. Dr. V. N. Sayankar, Director, Sankalp Business School, Pune delivered a talk on Business Etiquettes and grooming. He also stressed on basics of soft skill developments.
Dr. Santosh Bothe, Prof. and post doc delivered a talk on “Studies Abroad in Pharmaceutical Sciences” and details about scholarships based on research and development.
Dr. Kamlesh Shende, Ret Jt. Commissioner FDA, had organised workshop on drug regulatory affairs and opportunitities in DRA. On the same day Poster Competition was organized in the college. About 20 teams participated. First prize was given to the poster titled “Current update on Click Chemistry” presented by Ms. Sanjana Kshetri. Second prize for “Gene therapy” presented by Sayali Dalvi, and third prize for “Monoclonal antibodies” presented by Nasreen khan.
Mr. Pravin Naik executed the work related with the overall organization and Mr. Nilesh Gorde, Mr. Sandip Waghulde, Ms. Jyoti Lahane, Mrs. Kirtee Pawar, Mrs Priyanka Kalamkar, Mrs Revati Deshpande work for the success.
